Our Youth

As you look around the sanctuary, you will see that children are very much a part of our worshipping community.  Their presence here grows out of the biblical tradition and Reformed conviction that children are members of the covenant community.

We believe that although it is hard for hard to sit still and pay attention for long periods of time, they will still be able to absorb bits and pieces of the worship service.

Growing up isn't easy.  But in God's family we believe it is especially worth the effort to help our children grow in grace, wisdom, and fellowship with Christ.

We offer guidance for:

Preschool children
School-Age children
High School
Acolytes

Boy Scout Troop 14       Cub Scout Pack 14

Evangelical Presbyterian Church
1107 Charlie Griffin Road
Plant City,  FL   33567-2317

Our Mission

The mission of Troop 14 is to model and live the promise of the scouting movement by providing the finest program, adult leadership, and resources available so our Scouts can be all that scouting deems possible: "Duty to God, Duty to Country, and Duty to obey the Scout law."

Meeting each Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm in the EPC dining hall.  (No meetings during the summer months.)

Young men of ages 11-18 years may join the Boy Scouts of America.

Troop 14 has been recognized by the Boy Scouts of America as a "quality unit" since its Inception in 1999.

For further information about the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of EPC Plant City, contact Scoutmaster Gary Sawyer at 813-737-1718

An Update

Eagle Projects

completed at EPC . . .

The requirements to become an Eagle Scout include completion of a
service project that demonstrates leadership. Three of these projects have been carried out at our church during 2004 and 2005.

    1. A new flag pole has been installed at the entrance to the parking with night lighting.

    2. A fence now protects the air conditioning units on our athletic field.

    3. Playground fence and equipment is in place for a younger children's playground.

Pack and Troop 14 meet each Tuesday during the school year beginning at 6:30 p.m. in our Dining Hall. For more information on scouting at the EPC, please contact Brett Clancy or Gary Sawyer.
